Dodgers Activate Ben Rortvedt & Hunter Feduccia, Option Eliezer Alfonzo & Designate Chuckie Robinson For Assignment

The Los Angeles Dodgers officially added Ben Rortvedt and Hunter Feduccia onto their active roster, optioned Eliezer Alfonzo to Triple-A Oklahoma City and designated Chuckie Robinson for assignment.

Alfonzo was called up on July 4 when the Dodgers decided to give him a chance over Robinson, who was on the active roster at the time.

In 12 games, the switch-hitter tallied just five hits in 27 at-bats with two extra-base hits. He batted .185/.185/.259 with three runs scored and four RBI.

Alfonzo was signed by the Dodgers as a Minor League free agent on Nov. 17, 2025. Before that, he spent eight seasons in the Detroit Tigers organization after being signed as an international free agent out of Venezuela.

Alfonzo has batted .313/.392/.422 in 49 games with the Comets, hitting one home run, scoring 32 runs and driving in 17. He is a career .283/.345/.380 hitter in 581 Minor League games.

Robinson rejoined the Dodgers on Monday when Dalton Rushing was placed on the 10-day injured list. It marked his second stint with the team this season and fourth overall, dating back to last year.

Robinson did not appear in the lone game he was on the roster for this time around. The 31-year-old is 2-for-23 with one RBI over eight games with the Dodgers so far this season.

He cleared waivers and remained with the organization following the first time he was designated for assignment on July 6.

Dodgers add Ben Rortvedt and Hunter Feduccia

Rortvedt rejoined the Dodgers organization after first being acquired in a trade last season from the Tampa Bay Rays on July 31, 2025. The 28-year-old was with Triple-A Syracuse (New York Mets), playing in 48 games, hitting .235 with six homers and 26 RBI.

Last season, Rortvedt played in 18 games for the Dodgers, hitting .225 with one homer and four RBI while helping the Dodgers’ starters to an MLB-best 2.17 ERA in September. Rortvedt then appeared in four playoff games, recording a 1.071 OPS with one double and one RBI.

The Dodgers attempted to sneak Rortvedt through waivers during the offseason, but the Cincinnati Reds claimed him. Then, after getting cut by the Reds, the Dodgers reunited with Rortvedt by claiming him off waivers. That stint lasted less than two weeks as he was DFA’d again and landed with the Mets.

Rortvedt made his Major League debut in 2021 with the Minnesota Twins and has been part of the New York Yankees (2023), Rays (2024-25) and Dodgers (2025), hitting a combined .190 with nine homers and 52 RBI in 227 games.

Feduccia rejoins the Dodgers organization after being part of the same trade that brought Rortvedt to L.A. last year. The 29-year-old appeared in 60 games for the Rays this year, batting .234 with two homers and 12 RBI.

He has been in the Major Leagues for parts of three seasons with the Dodgers (2024-25) and Rays (2025-26), batting .207 with two homers and 21 RBI. In seven Minor League seasons, Feduccia is a .271 hitter with 55 homers and 308 RBI.
