Prior to the 2017 season beginning, executive chef Ryan Evans introduced several new food options at Dodger Stadium. Among them were tater tots, a Dodger Burger, and a poke bowl, dubbed “Basebowls.”
Another notable change was the King’s Hawaiian Grill replacing Think Blue BBQ in the left field plaza. The menu incorporates the famous King’s Hawaiian rolls, and the location has tables that make it ideal for group gatherings.
With the Los Angeles Dodgers beginning a season-long tying 10-game homestand Thursday, with it comes food items unique to each series or promotional night.
First on the docket is a four-game set against the Atlanta Braves. That will be followed by three games each with the Minnesota Twins and San Francisco Giants.
A “Chicken Waffle Sammy” will be offered during the series with the Braves. It features a piece of spicy crispy chicken topped with candied bacon and maple syrup and placed on a Belgian waffle.
The sandwich will be available at Field section eight and Reserve section 14. As of now, it will not be offered beyond Sunday, July 23.
Once the Twins roll into Chavez Ravine, “Bacon Cheddar Onion Rings” will be offered at all Elysian Park Grills (Field section 22 and 23, and Reserve section 31).
The golden onion rings are topped with smoked bacon, tomatoes, green onions, cheddar cheese and sour cream.
When the rival Giants make their visit to Dodger Stadium, “Chowder Tots” topped with creamy San Francisco style Clam Chowder will offered at Field section eight, Loge section 136, and Reserve section 32.
In addition to the series-by-series food options, throughout the 10-game homestand the Dodgers will also offer a “Think Blue Burrito.”
The burrito features pulled pork, black beans, Spanish rice, Pico de Gallo, and avocado crema wrapped in a flour tortilla. It will be sold at Reserve section 32.
The fifth Great Dodger Moments Coin of the season is being given to the first 40,000 fans in attendance on Thursday night. It pays homage to the 1984 Olympics at Dodger Stadium, and with that the club is also offering “Olympic Rings.”
The golden onion rings are topped with Philly meat, provolone cheese, banana peepers and garlic aioli. It will be offered at all Elysian Park Grills (Field sections 22 and 23, and Reserve section 31).
For Clippers Night, on Tuesday, July 25, the Dodgers will sell “Lob City Fries.”
French fries are topped with braised short rib, garlic aioli with beef gravy and jack cheese. Lob City Fries will be available at Field section 10 and Reserve section 32.
