The Los Angeles Dodgers are likely to welcome back Blake Snell this week, but their starting rotation still remains without Shohei Ohtani and Tyler Glasnow for the foreseeable future.

Glasnow is in the early stages of a rehab assignment, while Ohtani’s recovery from a left knee injury is progressing slowly.

Elsewhere on the rehab front, Ben Casparius is pitching for Triple-A Oklahoma City, and he was joined this week by Bobby Miller and Gavin Stone.

Bobby Miller

Pitching in a game for the first time since Sept. 21, 2025, Miller allowed one run on a solo homer and struck out three batters over two innings Wednesday night. Miller threw 47 pitches, of which 28 were strikes. His fastball velocity averaged 96.9 mph and topped out at 97.7 mph.

Although Miller’s rehab assignment began with a start for the Comets, a potential role with the Dodgers figures to come out of the bullpen. The former top pitching prospect shifted to relief toward the end of last season and embraced the change.

It was a sentiment he reiterated during Spring Training.

“Where I ended the season last year, in the bullpen, I felt like I was in a pretty good spot, and I believe that’s going to be the role so far,” Miller told DodgerBlue.com. “But my thing is what I’ve been saying, whatever role they need me to do, I’ll do. It’s anything to be a Dodger.

“So yeah, whatever role I need to do, I’m going to do that and do my best at that.”

Miller allowed seven runs on 11 hits in two appearances (one start) with the Dodgers last season. With OKC, he went 3-6 with a 5.66 ERA and 1.56 WHIP in 90.2 innings across 35 games (14 starts).

Miller did not pitch in this spring this year because of a right shoulder injury.

Gavin Stone

Stone followed Miller in the Comets rotation and got through 1.2 innings on Thursday. He also allowed just one run and finished with three strikeouts. Stone threw 33 pitches (22 strikes) and faced seven batters.

Stone’s fastball averaged 94.4 mph and maxed out at 95.2 mph. He too began the season on the injured list but pitched in one Cactus League game this year before succumbing to a right shoulder injury.

Thursday’s appearance otherwise was Stone’s first in a true game since Aug. 31, 2024. He made 25 starts for the Dodgers that year before needing to undergo extensive right shoulder surgery.
