When the Los Angeles Dodgers unveiled plans for a $100 million renovation of Dodger Stadium, it highlighted an array forthcoming new amenities such as the addition of a plaza in center field, two new sports bars, new children’s play area, elevators and escalators, among other upgrades.

The overhauled pavilion is also seeing the creation of standing room areas and installation of Home Run Seats in two rows just beyond the outfield wall. Tickets for the exciting new seats are currently available for purchase (limited availability for select games in March and April).

The Home Run Seats offer drink rails and padded barstools, and can be purchased individually (sets of two, four, six or eight tickets) or as part of a group experience. Both options include all-inclusive food and non-alcoholic beverage offerings, gran and go snacks, and in-seat waiter/waitress service.

Purchasing a group experience entails receiving 24 or 25 Home Run Seats, three complimentary preferred parking passes (additional discounted parking available upon request), complimentary welcome message for the group, and early admission for viewing of Dodgers batting practice from the Home Run Seats.

The Dodgers also offer a full buyout for exclusivity, which requires the purchase of all three sections (73 total Home Run Seats).

The Dodgers are confident the new additions will further enhance the experience of attending a game at Dodger Stadium. “Entertainment-wise, we are going to start building a two-acre entertainment plaza. This plaza will have a new front door for our stadium, because we don’t really have one,” Dodgers president and CEO Stan Kasten said.

“And we’re going to have a lot of new food offerings; a beer garden for craft beers; a history display all throughout; a kid’s field right behind the outfield wall; we’re going to have a midway of games and interactive exhibits, both high-tech and low-tech, social media; two separate sports bars with views into the bullpens.”

A new sound system will replace the current speaker tower in center field and provide an enhanced audio experience to fans on all levels of the ballpark with more directed sound.

While the goal remains to complete all renovations by Opening Day (March 26), some elements will be unveiled and added during the first few homestands. The renovated pavilions and center field plaza will not be accessible during the exhibition Freeway Series (March 23-24), as finishing touches are completed.
