Earlier this month, the Los Angeles Dodgers had a special guest at Camelback Ranch as magician Shlomo Levinger was invited by Walker Buehler to entertain the team before practice.
Shohei Ohtani was involved in one of the acts as Levinger asked him to pick any card from the deck. The two-way star chose seven of diamonds and then gave the deck back to Levinger.
The magician then spread out the cards and all but four were face down. The only cards facing up were the aces in the deck, which spelled out “the seven of diamonds” on the back.
Ohtani was amazed by the trick as were several of his Dodgers teammates watching in the background.

Ohtani is entering his first season with the Dodgers after signing a record-setting 10-year, $700 million contract during the offseason.
The two-time American League MVP Award winner has impressed this spring and will be in the lineup when the team faces the San Diego Padres in the Seoul Series.
Shohei Ohtani shares first photo with wife
The Dodgers arrived in South Korea after completing their Cactus League schedule on Wednesday. Prior to boarding the team charter, Ohtani appeared to share a photo of his new wife alongside Yoshinobu Yamamoto and interpreters Ippei Mizuhara and Yoshihiro Sonoda.
Ohtani announced at the end of February that he was married to a woman from Japan. “She is a Japanese woman, and I don’t really feel comfortable talking about when I got married, the exact date and stuff,” Ohtani said through Mizuhara. “But she’s a normal Japanese woman.”
However, in the first public picture of Ohtani and his wife, her identity is revealed to be Japanese basketball player Mamiko Tanaka.
