FOCO released new 2023 World Baseball Classic bobbleheads, with Los Angeles Dodgers teammates Freddie Freeman and Julio Urías among the players now available for purchase. A Mookie Betts bobblehead was part of the Team USA launch on Friday.
The WBC player bobbleheads feature each athlete in an action pose wearing their respective team uniform. Urías is outfitted in a white Team Mexico uniform, while Freeman is in a red jersey and white pants for Team Canada.
The base of the bobblehead is part of the World Baseball Classic theme and features player names on the front and team they play for on the backboard. The bobbleheads additionally feature a commemorative player in the colors of their respective country.
All World Baseball Classic bobbleheads are limited in quantities and will not be restocked once they sell out.
Urías is participating in his first WBC tournament and is scheduled to start Mexico’s opening game. Freeman previously played for the Canadian national team and is looking for improved results this year. Freeman has also embraced the chance to play against Dodgers teammates.
“I’m going to be walking in with a Team Canada hat on and stopping at some peoples’ lockers,” Freeman joked before Spring Training began. “We’ve got a lot of teams covered, which is cool. It’s cool for Dodgers fans to see us represent.
“I think a lot of people know that my mom is Canadian, but most people don’t know my dad is Canadian as well. It’s fun for me to be able to honor my mom and dad, and represent a country they grew up in. I think it’s just a cool tournament. I need to beat my Dodgers teammates for bragging rights.”
