Mookie Betts is a superstar on the baseball field for the Los Angeles Dodgers, but that may be matched by his talent in the bowling alley.

Betts has participated in multiple pro-am tournaments and bowled a few perfect games, both recreationally and in the 2017 World Series of Bowling, just one year before leading the Boston Red Sox to a World Series of their own.

His love for bowling was also highlighted on his bobblehead night on Oct. 3 with the boxes featuring bowling pin art and the nickname Mr. 300, which represents the score of a perfect game.

On Oct. 7, Betts turned 30 years old and celebrated that with a party on Saturday before adding another perfect game to his record books on Sunday.

Earlier this year, Betts competed in the West Region qualifier for the 2022 PBA Players Championship and finished 30th out of the 64 members who participated. He bowled an average score of 191.75 per game but admitted to having more nerves during the tournament than he did helping the Dodgers win the 2020 World Series.

There aren’t many sports the 2018 American League Most Valuable Player doesn’t master when he competes in them. He was a multiple-sport star in high school who now incorporates basketball workouts into his offseason and formed an AAU team in addition to his interest in bowling, golf and football.

Mookie Betts talks bowling with Jimmy Kimmel

Betts appeared on the “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” late-night talk show to discuss his passion for bowling, serving as a producer for a new Jackie Robinson documentary airing on Fox Sports 1, and of course, the Dodgers.

Although Betts still has a decade remaining on his contract with the Dodgers, Kimmel asked the six-time All-Star about retirement and assumed it would entail plenty of bowling, but he stopped short of saying that it would fill the void after baseball.

Betts relayed his wife Brianna has joked he will experience a midlife crisis at some point after retiring. The interview ended with Kimmel gifting Betts a bowling ball attached to a chain that he joked could be worn with his other necklaces.
