City Connect jerseys made their debut with the Los Angeles Dodgers and select teams during the 2021 regular season, and not only are they returning on the field this year, but they are also being featured in MLB The Show 22.
For the 2022 season, seven new teams are joining the inaugural group from last year. Teams poised to unveil a City Connect jersey are the Colorado Rockies, Houston Astros, Kansas City Royals, Los Angeles Angels, Milwaukee Brewers, San Diego Padres and Washington Nationals.
They join the Arizona Diamondbacks, Boston Red Sox, Chicago Cubs, Chicago White Sox, Dodgers, Miami Marlins and San Francisco Giants. The Dodgers and six aforementioned clubs were not given a new City Connect design, which is commonplace for all NBA teams each season.
Players will be able to equip the jerseys on their favorite teams and primarily through the Diamond Dynasty game mode, which allows users to build their own teams based on collecting cards.

The Show 22 is available for ‘early access’ by preordering now, but the full release is Tuesday, April 5. The cover athlete for this season is L.A. Angels two-way star Shohei Ohtani.
He is the first member of the Angels organization to be featured on the cover of a video game, the first Asian athlete to earn the honor, and the first pitcher to ever be on the cover of an MLB The Show game.

Dodgers hero Kirk Gibson and his iconic fist pump celebration from the 1988 World Series are part of MLB The Show 22 as he was among the legends unveiled for the popular video game.
Gibson’s walk-off home run in Game 1 of the 1988 World Series along with his celebration while rounding the bases is one of the most famous moments in MLB history and recreating it will undoubtedly be one of the missions players can attempt to complete in the game.
