The Los Angeles Dodgers made a flurry of roster moves Wednesday prior to their game with the Colorado Rockies, among them placing relievers Louis Coleman and Adam Liberatore on the 15-day disabled list.

Coleman is down due to right shoulder fatigue, while Liberatore is suffering from left elbow inflammation. Liberatore’s DL stint is retroactive to July 30. The players raise the total to 25 Dodgers who have landed on the DL this season.

Los Angeles already set a National League record at 23 players, and now are three shy of breaking the Major League record set by the Boston Red Sox in 2012. That club finished 69-93, in last place and 26 games back of first place in the American League East.

Coleman ranks second on the Dodgers with 50 relief appearances this season, going 2-1 with a 3.70 ERA, 3.35 FIP and 1.33 WHIP. The right-hander has struck out 37 and walked 16 in 41.1 innings pitched.

Liberatore was in the midst of an outstanding season, as he ranks third among NL relievers with a 1.62 ERA. In 44 games he’s 2-0 with a 2.14 FIP and 0.99 WHIP. He set a Dodgers franchise record with 28 consecutive scoreless appearances. His streak was snapped July 24 against the St. Louis Cardinals.

That same evening Liberatore tweaked his right knee while covering first base, which forced him to miss a brief period of time.

The Dodgers recalled Josh Fields, Brock Stewart and Julio Urias on Wednesday. Stewart starts the second of the three-game series with the Rockies, while Fields and Urias will be used out of the bullpen.

Outfielder Andrew Toles was optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City to clear the third spot needed on the active roster for the call-ups.
