Full American League and National League rosters for the 2026 MLB All-Star Game are officially set, pending potential replacements for pitchers who appear in games on July 12 and possible injuries.
All-Star Game starters were voted in by fans, while pitchers and reserves received election by way of player ballot choices and picks made by the commissioner’s office.
The Los Angeles Dodgers tied the host Philadelphia Phillies and Atlanta Braves with five All-Star selections. Though in the Phillies’ case, Bryce Harper made the NL roster as a “legend pick” by MLB commissioner Rob Manfred.
It’s an extra roster spot that is used to honor a player’s career. Clayton Kershaw, Albert Pujols and Miguel Cabrera notably are among the previous legend picks.
Shohei Ohtani (designated hitter), Freddie Freeman (first base), Max Muncy (third base) and Andy Pages (outfield) will start for the NL, while Yoshinobu Yamamoto is part of the pitching staff.
The Dodgers have at least five players headed to the Midsummer Classic for the seventh year in a row. That is tied with the 1942-49 St. Louis Cardinals for the third-longest streak, trailing only the 1956-65 New York Yankees (10) and 1936-43 Yankees (eight).
The AL and NL rosters include plenty of new faces with 26 players receiving their first All-Star nod. That’s up from 19 first-time participants in last year’s event.
All-Star Game 2026
MLB All-Star Week includes the HBCU Swingman Classic on July 10, All-Star Village from July 11-14, MLB Draft (July 11-12), All-Star 3-on-3 (July 12), All-Star Futures Game (July 12), Home Run Derby (July 13) and the 96th edition of the Midsummer Classic on July 14 at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia.
The 2026 MLB All-Star Game will be televised nationally by Fox, with first pitch set for 5 p.m. PT. Fox Deportes is going to provide Spanish language coverage in the United States.
Fans will once again have the opportunity to participate in the official voting for the Ted Williams All-Star Game MVP Award. During the Midsummer Classic, fans can vote exclusively at MLB.com and the 30 club sites.
The online fan ballot counts for 20% of the vote, with the other 80% coming from the Baseball Writers’ Association of America (BBWAA) and All-Star Game announcers.
