The 2022 World Series schedule for the Philadelphia Phillies and Houston Astros has been set, along with start times. All games of the 118th Fall Classic will be nationally televised by Fox.

Game 1 of the World Series is scheduled for Friday at Minute Maid Park, with Game 2 the following night. A travel day on the eve of Halloween will be followed by Games 3 and 4 being played on consecutive days. If necessary, teams will be on the field for a third straight on Nov. 2.

Should the World Series extend beyond that, Game 6 is scheduled to be played played Friday, Nov. 4. A winner-take-all Game 7 would take place Nov. 5.

The Astros are playing in their fourth World Series over the last six seasons, and to reach this point, have gone a perfect 7-0 in the postseason by sweeping the Cleveland Guardians and New York Yankees. No team in MLB history has gone undefeated in the postseason during the Wild Card era.

With 106 wins in the regular season — second to only the Los Angeles Dodgers — the Astros have home-field advantage over the Phillies in the Fall Classic.

Philadelphia earned the third and final Wild Card spot in the National League after winning 87 games during the regular season. They have since gone on to eliminate the St. Louis Cardinals, Atlanta Braves and San Diego Padres to advance to their first World Series since 2009.

The Padres losing to the Phillies ended a six-year streak in which the Dodgers won the World Series or were eliminated by the eventual champion.

How to watch 2022 World Series online
