The official start of 2022 Los Angeles Dodgers Spring Training arrived Sunday, with all players due to report for camp and Camelback Ranch opening to fans at 9 a.m. local time. The backfields had previously been closed off to public access during Minor League Spring Training.

Admission and parking at Camelback Ranch is free. Fans will be permitted to walk the grounds, visit practice fields to observe workouts, batting practice and more, and potentially obtain autographs.

Dodgers Spring Training tickets for Cactus League home games can be purchased from the box office, starting at 10 a.m. on Sunday. The Camelback Ranch center field clubhouse store is due to be open daily at 9 a.m., beginning Monday.

That overlaps with the Dodgers holding their first official workout of Spring Training. Several players have already arrived, including Cody Bellinger and Max Muncy, both of whom participated in batting practice on Saturday.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts estimated Muncy was at about 85% strength in his left elbow as he continues to recover from a dislocation and torn ulnar collateral ligament (UCL). Muncy anticipates being ready for Opening Day — April 8 for the Dodgers.

After workouts throughout the week, the revised 2022 Dodgers Spring Training schedule begins with a matchup against the Milwaukee Brewers on Friday, March 18. That’s one of the nine Cactus League games they will play at Camelback Ranch — with eight of those coming as the home team.

In total, the Dodgers will play 18 exhibition games — down from the originally scheduled 33. Their only off day is Friday, April 1.

Dodgers Spring Training history at Camelback Ranch

The Dodgers are in their 14th year at Camelback Ranch, which is shared with the Chicago White Sox. The property features a state-of-the-art ballpark, six practice fields on their side of the complex, including a replica Dodger Stadium field, fan photo elements commemorating franchise history, walking trails, an orange grove and a five-acre lake.

Prior to moving to Camelback Ranch, the Dodgers held Spring Training in Vero Beach, Florida. Their final game at Dodgertown was played March 17, 2008.
