Dodger Stadium auto gates open at 8:30 a.m., and fans will be able to enter the ballpark 30 minutes later. The ticketed event includes an opportunity to purchase World Series merchandise, plus concession stands will be open and the parade will be shown on the DodgerVision scoreboards.
Dodgers players are scheduled to arrive upon completion of the parade route.
Fans have an opportunity to be part of celebrating the eighth Dodgers World Series championship in franchise history. However, it’s the first time the team and players are getting formal recognition since 1988 because of the COVID-19 pandemic impacting their 2020 title.
Manager Dave Roberts said the thought of a Dodgers World Series parade was serving as extra motivation for the team.
By clinching the World Series in Game 5, their celebration has been scheduled to take place on what would have been Fernando Valenzuela’s 64th birthday.
Valenzuela passed away days before the Dodgers and New York Yankees began their highly-anticipated World Series.
Dodgers World Series parade route
Prior to the World Series celebration at Dodger Stadium, the Dodgers’ parade is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. PT at Gloria Molina Grand Park on Spring Street, in front of City Hall.
Los Angeles mayor Karen Bass will officially kick off the celebration, which will then continue on a 45-minute route from 1st Street to Grand Avenue to 5th Street, culminating at the intersection of 5th and Flower Street, with members of the Dodgers traveling atop double-decker buses.
Dodgers fans wishing to attend and line the parade route are emphatically encouraged to take public transportation due to significant street closures and limited public parking.
Following the parade, a special ticketed event at Dodger Stadium will begin at approximately 12:15 p.m. For fans attending, parking gates will open at 8:30 a.m. and stadium entry gates will open at 9 a.m.
Food and merchandise will be available for purchase at Dodger Stadium stores. All Dodger Stadium guidelines and rules will apply to this event, including the reminder not to bring in signs, bags or any other items that aren’t permitted under our policies.
Television coverage of all of Friday’s events will begin at 9:30 a.m. on SportsNet LA and local channels CBS 2, NBC 4, KTLA 5, ABC 7, KCAL 9 and Fox 11. Radio coverage will air on AM 570.
A portion of the proceeds from the stadium event will be donated to the Los Angeles Dodger Foundation, which is tackling the most pressing problems facing Los Angeles with a mission to improve education, health care, homelessness and social justice for all Angelenos.
