The Los Angeles Dodgers officially re-signed Teoscar Hernández and are holding a press conference at Dodger Stadium on Friday.
In addition to Hernández, Dodgers president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman, general manager Brandon Gomes and manager Dave Roberts are expected to be on hand.
It’s the second press conference the Dodgers have held this offseason as they previously did so upon signing Blake Snell in December.
Hernández is back with the Dodgers on a three-year, $66 million contract that also includes a team option for the 2028 season. If the Dodgers decline their $15 million option, Hernández will receive a $6.5 million buyout.

Thus the total value of Hernández’s new Dodgers contract is guaranteed to be at least $72.5 million. His deal also is said to include a $23 million signing bonus and $23.5 million in deferred salary.
Between his two Dodgers contracts, Hernández is owed a total of $32 million in deferred money. From his one-year, $23.5 million deal for the 2024 season, $8.5 million was deferred and due payable in $850,000 installments every July 1 from 2030-2039.
The Dodgers re-signing Hernández was considered a likely outcome this offseason, but the process was not without the team first being part of the Juan Soto sweepstakes. Soto signing a record-setting contract with the New York Mets was expected to accelerate matters for Hernández but he continued to linger on the market.
That included somewhat of an impasse with Hernández before the sides ultimately agreed to a three-year deal.
