With the Los Angeles Dodgers in the midst of trying to repeat as World Series champions, the Los Angeles Lakers are closing in on tipping off their 2025-2026 season.
With that, the team just released a promotional video, “Forever Iconic: Purple and Gold Always,” which represents the creative directorial debut of Natalia Bryant, the oldest daughter of Kobe and Vanessa Bryant.
“This project was an amazing, collaborative environment with such creative people and we all came together to try and portray the Lakers’ impact, not only in LA but around the world,” Natalia Bryant said. “Everyone has their own connection to the Lakers.
“I hope those who already love this team watch this project and remember what that pride feels like. And if you’re not a Lakers fan yet, I hope you watch this, and it makes you want to be.”

The main marketing video features the likes of LeBron James, Luka Doncic, Magic Johnson and Shohei Ohtani, among others. That since has been followed by a social media video that focused on Freddie Freeman and Mookie Betts both wearing a Lakers cap while going through respective pregame drills at Dodger Stadium.
Ohtani and his wife, Mamiko, attended a Lakers game last season and were each presented with custom jerseys. Betts has also taken in several games since being traded to the Dodgers, and he’s been a primary reason for James visiting Dodger Stadium as well.
Dodgers owner buys Lakers
There will be more crossover between the two iconic sports franchises as Dodgers owner Mark Walter reached an agreement to buy the Lakers from the Buss family.
Jeanie Buss is going to remain at the helm for multiple years before ceding full control to Walter.
