Watch: Max Muncy, Dodger Stadium In ‘Last Year’s Lemons’ Super Bowl LV Commercial

As the Los Angeles Dodgers prepare for the start of Spring Training and regular season as defending World Series champions, the end of the NFL campaign arrives Sunday with Super Bowl LV between the Kansas City Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

It’s a 10th career Super Bowl appearance for Tom Brady, considered by many to be the greatest quarterback in NFL history. A win against the Chiefs would give Brady a seventh championship, but first with the Buccaneers.

Of course, no Super Bowl is complete without talks of commercials. The Dodgers have a role in that this year, more specifically Max Muncy and Dodger Stadium. Dressed in full uniform and running the bases at Chavez Ravine, Muncy appears in Bud Light Seltzer Lemonade’s first-ever Super Bowl television ad, “Last Year’s Lemons.”

The commercial is inspired by do-it-yourself haircuts, postponed weddings and other inconvenient but relatable situations that arose last year. The ad looks at the bright moments in a challenging year, and for the Dodgers that included winning their first World Series since 1988.

“We wanted to give consumers something to start the New Year off right by bringing them the bold flavor of our new Bud Light Seltzer Lemonade,” vice Bud Light vice president of marketing Andy Goeler said in a statement.

“The Super Bowl always brings together avid and casual sports fans alike, and our hope is that our new commercial brings them a little bit of levity and fun while watching the game.”

During the Super Bowl, fans 21 and older are encouraged to tweet “#LemonsIntoLemonade” and “#Sweepstakes” whenever there is a turnover in order to be entered for a chance to win a case of Bud Light Seltzer Lemonade.
