With the Los Angeles Lakers back from an early-season road trip, the team invited the Los Angeles Dodgers to Crypto.com Arena to recognize their 2024 World Series title.
Mookie Betts, Brusdar Graterol, Chris Taylor, Freddie Freeman and Jack Flaherty were on hand, with the World Series trophy in tow. Of note, Flaherty is currently a free agent but has made it clear he hopes to re-sign with the Dodgers.
Before they were celebrated on the court, the Dodgers met with Lakers players. Freeman’s son, Charlie, was with the group as well, and he got an opportunity to meet LeBron James.

Later in the night, a video montage played of the team’s highlights from throughout the 2024 season and winning the eighth championship in franchise history.
As the video was being shown, the Dodgers were ushered onto the court as fans cheered and some gave them a standing ovation.
Flaherty spoke with KJ Martin of the Philadelphia 76ers, who is a Southern California native as well. And Betts briefly interacted with James.
The Dodgers who represented the team also were gifted a custom Lakers jersey.
The Dodgers and Lakers share a close relationship that’s built on largely having the same fanbase. The Dodgers host an annual Lakers Night at Dodger Stadium.
Dodgers appearances
Friday’s visit to Crypto.com Arena was the latest stop in what’s been a busy stretch for the Dodgers collectively and on an individual level.
Kiké Hernández recently spent time at a local Raising Cane’s, Walker Buehler signed autographs at a Dick’s Sporting Goods in Cerritos, Betts made an appearance at the retailer’s location in Glendale, and Freeman was a guest on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”
