The bulk of Major League Baseball headlines were centered around the Houston Astros this past offseason after an investigation revealed they electronically stole signs during their 2017 World Series run in which they defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers in seven games.

MLB announced their findings determined the Astros not only cheated during the 2017 and 2018 regular seasons, but the playoffs as well. MLB elected against stripping them of their World Series championship though, instead fining the organization $5 million as well as taking away draft picks and suspending general manager Jeff Luhnow and AJ Hinch, who were then fired.

None of the players received any punishment due to MLB granting immunity for cooperating with the investigation, which caused plenty of backlash from players and fans around the league.

While the 2020 MLB season has yet to get underway due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, it’s no secret that the Astros players will get booed everywhere they played this season.

MLB decided to do a campaign called “Opening Day at home” to celebrate what would have been Opening Day on Thursday, showing famous games from each organization across all of their social media platforms.

One of those was Game 7 of the 2019 World Series between the Astros and Washington Nationals in which the latter came from behind to win the title at Minute Maid Park.

While a lot of the focus right now around the world is figuring out how to stop the coronavirus, it appears baseball fans have not forgotten about what the Astros did as they let them have it in the YouTube comments section during the game, via 2020 Astros Shame Tour:

If this proves anything it’s that nothing will make MLB fans forget what the Astros did and how they cheated the game, not even a pandemic that has caused essentially the whole world to be shut down.

Hopefully, the United States can get past all of this in the near future and baseball can get back to being played so the Astros can be booed in person instead of over a live stream on the internet.
