SWAG Golf released a limited-edition collection that features the Los Angeles Dodgers and celebrates their appearance in the Tokyo Series against the Chicago Cubs.
Among the items available are a blade cover set to a cherry blossom theme that is an ode to Tokyo’s Sakura trees. It fits standard style putters and some compact mallets, and the design includes an industrial magnetic closure, plush protective interior and durable UV resistant materials.
Also available in the Dodgers’ cherry blossom theme is a mallet cover. That too features a magnetic closure, plush interior and UV resistant materials.
The cherry blossom style is also available in multiple items for the Cubs.
SWAG Golf additionally features the Dodgers in a “Battle for Tokyo” design that can be purchased in a blade cover.
“Golf and baseball fans both understand the buzz of the start of the spring season,” SWAG Golf founder Nick Venson said in a statement.
“Opening day sparks this palpable excitement and energy that we want you to feel when you purchase a headcover. Those kids who grew up collecting baseball cards are now adults who collect golf gear…that feeling and ‘fandom’ doesn’t die out as you get older, it just gets cooler.”
SWAG is planning to release a classic MLB series line for Opening Day on March 17. Styles will include spins on the brand’s classic “Logo Drip,” “The Bobblehead King” and “The King of Ks.”
Participating teams include the Cubs, Dodgers, Boston Red Sox, Chicago White Sox, Houston Astros, New York Mets, New York Yankees, San Diego Padres and San Francisco Giants.
SWAG’s history of partnerships include PGA TOUR professionals Nick Hardy, Taylor Montgomery, John Pak and Taylor Dickson; LPGA professional Anna Nordqvist; Instagram sensation Paige Spiranac; and three-time World Series champion
Jon Lester.
The brand has licensing agreements with MLB, McLaren Formula 1 Team, Kraft-Heinz, WWE, Capcom,
Topps and Vienna Beef, among others.
