First pitch for the Los Angeles Dodgers’ home opener at Dodger Stadium on Thursday, March 28, 2024, against the St. Louis Cardinals is set for 1:10 p.m. PT.

Although it’s the Dodgers first game at Dodger Stadium of the 2024 season, and first in the United States, it’s their second scheduled game as the home team. The Dodgers are set to begin their season against the San Diego Padres in South Korea.

The two teams kick off the season in Seoul on Wednesday, March 20 with the Padres scheduled as the home team for the first game. First pitch for Opening Day is scheduled for 3:05 a.m. PT, which is 7:07 p.m in South Korea.

The Dodgers then play as the home team in the second and final game of the opening series the following day. A start time for that game has not been announced yet.

The last time Opening Day of an MLB season was held outside of the United States and Canada was in 2019, when the Oakland Athletics and Seattle Mariners played in the Tokyo Series.

The stadium the Dodgers and Padres will play at has still yet to be announced, but Jamsil Baseball Stadium is the largest venue in South Korea with a capacity of 25,000 fans and opened in 1982.

The newest baseball stadium in South Korea is Changwon NC Park, which opened in 2019 and has a capacity of 22,112.

Following the Dodger Stadium opener on March 28, the Dodgers have three more games against the Cardinals with start times at 7:10, 6:10 and 1:10 p.m., respectively.

L.A. then hosts the Giants for three games before taking their first U.S. road trip of the season, beginning with the Chicago Cubs for three games at 11:20 a.m. PT from Friday, April 5 through Sunday, April 7.

The Dodgers also have two afternnon starts at home during the middle of the week, both on Wednesday at 12:10 p.m. PT, with the first on April 17 against the Washington Nationals and the second on May 8 against the Miami Marlins.
