The Los Angeles Dodgers return to Camelback Ranch for a Spring Training matchup with the Cleveland Guardians at Camelback Ranch.

The Dodgers dropped their second straight game on Thursday in a 5-4 loss to the Cincinnati Reds. James Paxton tallied four strikeouts in his two innings of work, continuing the trend of solid pitching.

Tyler Glasnow takes the mound for the Dodgers this time, making his second start this spring. In his debut outing against the Angels, the right-hander allowed one earned run on four hits in 1.2 innings.

He kept the baseball in the zone in his first start, landing 10 of his 14 pitches for strikes. The only real blemish was the amount of contact he surrendered versus the Angels.

Glasnow features a high-powered arsenal, including a mid-to-upper 90s fastball and a hammer curveball. Admitting to feeling a bit too amped up, he’ll have an opportunity to settle in against the Guardians.

His pedigree and upper-echelon arsenal are much of why the Dodgers traded for and extended him, figuring he’d slot in at the front of their starting rotation for several years.

He’ll be opposed by 36-year-old Carlos Carrasco, now in his 15th Major League season.

Carrasco spent the prior three years with the New York Mets, carrying a 5.21 ERA, 1.46 WHIP with a 4.55 FIP across 61 starts. He signed a one-year, $2 million contract to rejoin the Guardians, where he spent the first 11 years of his career.

The Dodgers enter Friday with a Spring Training record of 5-2, possessing the best offense among National League teams thus far. Their .825 on-base plus slugging as a team is tied with the Baltimore Orioles for the best mark in baseball.

Max Muncy remains out of the starting lineup as he continues to rest his bruised left-hand after being hit by a pitch in the first inning of Wednesdays game. X-rays came back negative, showing no broken bones, a huge plus for the Dodgers.

Shohei Ohtani is in the lineup for his second appearance of Cactus League play. He is once again batting between Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman, which is the order the Dodgers will take into the regular season.
