Spring Training Preview: Dodgers Host Giants With Opportunity To Complete Cactus League Sweep

Looking to extend their two-game winning streak, the Los Angeles Dodgers return to Camelback Ranch and take on the rival San Francisco Giants for the final time in Spring Training.

The Dodgers last defeated the Giants by a final score of 8-2 on March 4. The two teams will next square off on April 1-3 at Dodger Stadium in what will mark the second series of the regular season.

Tony Gonsolin makes his first start and third overall appearance of Cactus League play. In two outings thus far, he has yet to allow a run over three innings of work while accumulating two strikeouts.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts has been impressed with the the right-hander, who earned organizational Minor League Player of the Year honors a year ago.

The Giants counter with right-hander Chris Stratton, who has struggled to the tune of a 1-2 record and 7.50 ERA in three Spring Training starts to date.

The 28-year-old logged two innings in his previous start against the Texas Rangers last Wednesday, yielding four hits (one home run) and three runs with three strikeouts.

Kiké Hernandez is among expected regulars in the Dodgers lineup, batting sixth and serving as the designated hitter. He enters batting .423 with two home runs, eight RBI and a 1.218 on-plus slugging in 26 at-bats this spring.
