Spring Training Preview: Dodgers Play Split-Squad Games Against Cubs & Brewers

After a comeback win on Friday night, the Los Angeles Dodgers continue their Spring Training schedule with matchups against the Chicago Cubs and Milwaukee Brewers for their only split-squad day of Cactus League play this year.

The Dodgers host the Cubs at Camelback Ranch and send a team to American Family Fields of Phoenix to face the Brewers.

Their first game against the Cubs is scheduled for 12:05 p.m. PT and will be televised on SportsNet L.A. and the Marquee Sports Network. Fans can also listen on Dodgers Radio AM570.

The Dodgers’ game against the Brewers begins at 12:10 p.m. and will be broadcast by Bally Sports Wisconsin. It will also air on the Brewers’ radio station WTMJ 620.

Both games will be available to watch or listen to via MLB TV.

Cubs vs. Dodgers

Taking the ball for the Dodgers is Ryan Yarbrough, who is making his second appearance this year after throwing 1.2 no-hit innings with three strikeouts in his spring debut. He is expected to pitch three innings.

Yarbrough is competing for not just a spot on the Dodgers 26-man roster, but also a spot as the fifth man in the Dodgers’ Opening Day rotation.

Following Yarbrough, the Dodgers also have Evan Phillips, Ryan Brasier, Justin Wilson, Daniel Hudson and Brusdar Graterol scheduled to pitch.

The Cubs counter with Shōta Imanaga, who was one of their prized signings of the offseason. Imanaga made the jump from Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) and drew interest from around the league before signing a multi-year deal with the Cubs.
