After a rare off day, the Los Angeles Dodgers return to Camelback Ranch to host the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim under the lights.

Making just his third Spring Training start is Hyun-Jin Ryu, who has struggled in a small sample size thus far. Over 5.2 innings, he owns a 14.29 ERA and 2.29 WHIP with four strikeouts and four walks.

In his last appearance against the Chicago White Sox, Ryu allowed five earned runs and seven hits across three innings. He struggled with pitch location, as opposing batters hit .360 against him in the contest.

Though Ryu hasn’t excelled to this point, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts believes a healthy offseason will lead to a “big year” for the left-hander.

The Angels counter with Jaime Barria, who has pitched better as of late after a rough outing at the end of February.

He tossed two perfect innings against the Chicago Cubs in his most recent outing, extending his scoreless streak to four innings in March.

All-in-all this spring, Barria has posted a 4.76 ERA and 1.06 WHIP over 5.2 innings (three starts). During the span, he has struck out six batters compared to just one walk, though he has yielded two home runs as well.

This Dodgers lineup may be a little bit telling, as Roberts elected to bat left fielder Matt Kemp third behind Corey Seager and Cody Bellinger fourth to split up the two left-handers.

Roberts previously said that the plan was to move Bellinger up to the No. 3 spot while Justin Turner is out, although him testing out a different lineup may show that he’s had a change of heart.

Also, something positive to see is that Bellinger is back in the lineup after he fouled a ball off his ankle in the Dodgers last game. He was removed from the game shortly after, although Roberts said it was a manager’s decision and not injury related.
