After an off day on Tuesday, the Los Angeles Dodgers return to action for a matchup against the rival San Francisco Giants at Camelback Ranch. It’s the final meeting between the teams in Spring Training before they face off later this month on Opening Day.

Making his second Cactus League start is Clayton Kershaw, who looks to build off a promising outing against the Milwaukee Brewers. The three-time Cy Young Award winner did not allow a hit in 1.2 innings of work with four strikeouts and two walks.

After retiring the side in order in the first inning, Kershaw fought a high pitch count and failed to make it through the second. More importantly, he reiterated his health is in good standing.

Kershaw is coming off an All-Star 2019 campaign in which he went 16-5 with a 3.03 ERA, 3.86 FIP and 1.04 WHIP over 178.1 innings across 29 games (28 starts).

The Giants counter with Johnny Cueto, who similarly impressed in his 2020 Spring Training debut against the Colorado Rockies. He tossed two scoreless innings, yielding just one hit and one walk with one strikeout.

The two-time All-Star looks to stay healthy this season after making a combined 13 appearances over the previous two years.

In 12 big league seasons, Cueto owns a 126-87 record, 3.35 ERA, 3.81 FIP and 1.19 WHIP with 1,556 strikeouts against 530 walks across 1,856.1 innings pitched (296 starts).

Cody Bellinger again is out of the Dodgers lineup, but he indicated his back is in good shape. As for speculation Bellinger injured himself swinging a golf club, he dismissed that as being the case and said the knot in his back subsided.

Dodgers lineup:

RF: Mookie Betts
2B: Max Muncy
3B: Justin Turner

SS: Mauricio Dubón
C: Rob Brantly
