As the wait for the start of the 2020 season continues as Major League Baseball monitors and acts in response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, fans have looked for other means to fill the void.

Particularly on Thursday, when Opening Day was originally scheduled to take place. MLB Network aired a full slate of games and the league streamed one from all 30 teams across their various social media platforms.

SportsNet LA aired the Dodgers’ Opening Day games from 2013 and last year, and now the network is dedicating a full day to Hall of Fame broadcaster Vin Scully. It begins at 9:30 a.m. PT on Saturday, with a re-air of the Vin Scully Appreciation Ceremony from the 2016 season.

That of course was Scully’s 67th and final year in the broadcast booth. The Dodgers celebrated him throughout the 2016 season, renaming the portion of Elysian Park Avenue that runs between Sunset Boulevard and Dodger Stadium Way, to Vin Scully Avenue, and with a dedicated night.

SportsNet LA is also airing Scully’s call from a 2006 game that saw the Dodgers hit four consecutive walk-off home runs in the bottom of the ninth inning and win in extras on Nomar Garciaparra’s walk-off homer.

That is followed by a farewell special for the revered broadcaster, Scully’s call of Clayton Kershaw’s no-hitter from 2014, the night the Dodgers held to recognize him, and SportsNet LA’s programming concludes with the final home game of the 2016 season.

With Scully in his broadcast booth at Dodger Stadium for the last time, the team sent him off in grand fashion as Charlie Culberson’s game-winning home run clinched the Dodgers’ fourth consecutive National League West title.

SportsNet LA schedule of memorable Vin Scully events

1:30 p.m.: Farewell to Vin Scully
