With the unofficial first half of the 2025 season coming to a close, MLB released their list of the best-selling player jerseys since Opening Day.
It’s again led by Shohei Ohtani at No. 1, and he’s accompanied by three Los Angeles Dodgers teammates on the ranking of the most popular jerseys so far in 2025. After New York Yankees All-Star Aaron Judge at No. 2, Freddie Freeman is ranked third and he’s followed by Mookie Betts in fourth place. Clayton Kershaw rounds out the list at No. 20.
The same quartet of Dodgers appeared on the top-20 list for MLB jersey sales throughout the 2024 season as well.
They also represented the Dodgers among the most popular jerseys from the conclusion of the 2024 World Series through the end of March. Yoshinobu Yamamoto (No. 10) and Kiké Hernández (No. 16) made that top-20 list as well.
The stretch included the Tokyo Series, which was MLB’s biggest standalone international event ever.
Meanwhile, Ohtani’s Dodgers jersey sales have been a strong point since he signed a $700 million contract with the team. And since 2023, fans have purchased Ohtani’s jersey more than any other in the United States, Japan and worldwide.
The latest list of MLB’s most popular jerseys is based on sales of Nike player jerseys from the Fanatics network of sites, including MLBShop.com, since Opening Day 2025.
Rafael Devers (No. 7), Jarren Duran (No. 12), Jung Hoo Lee (No. 17), Pete Crow-Armstrong (No. 18) and Tarik Skubal (No. 19) made a best-selling jerseys list for the first time in their respective careers.
