The Los Angeles Dodgers (19-8) hope to continue the hottest run in baseball when they host the Colorado Rockies (13-12) for the first of three games on Friday as big -230 favorites on the MLB odds at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. The Dodgers will send Walker Buehler (0-0, 5.21 ERA) to the hill still searching for his first win of 2020 as they go for their ninth victory in 10 games overall.

Buehler has yet to pitch a full six innings in any of his first four starts this season, which remains a concern for a team trying to win its first World Series title since 1988. Last year, he was arguably the best starting pitcher for Los Angeles, and now he might be the worst in the rotation.

In his most recent start against the L.A. Angels last Saturday, Buehler gave up a season-high five runs (four earned) and six hits in 4.2 innings with one walk and five strikeouts.

However, despite that rough outing, the Dodgers found a way to win 6-5 in 10 innings, the third time in Buehler’s four starts they ended up victorious. That is the silver lining, as they reeled off a seven-game winning streak before falling 6-4 to the Seattle Mariners as -240 chalk at sports betting sites on Wednesday. Los Angeles bounced back to win 6-1 at Seattle as massive -320 favorites on Thursday with Clayton Kershaw on the mound. The OVER is 6-2 in the team’s last eight games.

Meanwhile, the Rockies have dropped four games in a row and seven of eight, with five of those losses coming as underdogs, according to the OddsShark MLB Database. Colorado will look to Jon Gray (1-2, 5.74 ERA) to end the skid, and he is coming off his best start of the year.

Gray picked up his lone victory against the Texas Rangers last Sunday, allowing three hits and three runs in seven innings with two walks and seven strikeouts. That is the only win for the Rockies in their last eight, and they have also lost seven of the past eight meetings with the Dodgers.
