The National League West’s best team will meet the division’s worst in a three-game series at Dodger Stadium this weekend.

The Los Angeles Dodgers (98-55) have already clinched their seventh consecutive NL West title, but they have their eyes on a much bigger prize as they host the Rockies (66-87) as heavy -330 home favorites (bet $330 to win $100) on the MLB odds at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com for the series opener on Friday.

Rockies at Dodgers | OddsShark Matchup Report

Los Angeles owns a 4.5-game lead on the Atlanta Braves for the top seed in the NL with nine games left yet still trails the New York Yankees and Houston Astros for the best record in baseball and the home-field advantage throughout the playoffs that goes with it.

The Dodgers own the second-best home mark in MLB behind the Astros at 57-21, and they would love to have that edge in a potential matchup with them or the Yankees.

Meanwhile, Colorado is a +265 underdog (bet $100 to win $265) at online betting sites and simply rolling through the punches down the stretch of a disappointing campaign, with the team expected to challenge Los Angeles for the division crown. Instead, the Rockies have gone a dismal 26-49 away from home this year for the worst road record in the league. They have lost nine of their last 10 road games, including a three-game sweep by the Dodgers from Sept. 2-4 in which they were outscored by a 28-15 margin.

Los Angeles has won 18 of the past 21 meetings with Colorado overall dating back to last season, according to the OddsShark MLB Database. The three wins for the Rockies during that stretch all took place at Coors Field, where they have gone 40-38 in 2019.

The OVER has cashed in two of the last three games between the teams following a 3-0 UNDER run at Coors. The UNDER is 6-3-1 in the previous 10 for the Dodgers overall and on an 8-4 run for their opponent as well, including three straight against the New York Mets. The UNDER is also 4-1 in the past five road games for Colorado going into this one.
