The Los Angeles Dodgers opened their series against the Minnesota Twins with a 4-2 comeback win, powered by James Outman and Shohei Ohtani.

Mookie Betts started the Dodgers off with a walk in the first inning, and Ohtani doubled him into scoring position. Freddie Freeman then followed with a sacrifice fly to put L.A. up 1-0.

The Twins took the lead thanks to Manuel Margot, who the Dodgers traded before the start of the season after first being acquired in the Tyler Glasnow trade. Austin Martin walked with one out in the third, and Margot followed with a two-run homer.

Ohtani started a rally for the Dodgers in the sixth inning with his second double of the game. It also marked his fifth consecutive game with multiple hits, setting a career-high for him.

Freeman singled to put runners at the corners, and Will Smith singled home Ohtani to tie the game at two runs each.

In the seventh, James Outman broke the tie with a solo home run, his first of the season. Outman has been in the midst of a slump to open the season, but Roberts expressed some confidence in the center fielder.

Ohtani also hit a solo home run in the seventh, providing the Dodgers with some breathing room, and tallying his third extra-base hit of the game.

James Paxton turns in quality start for Dodgers

On the pitching side, James Paxton turned in another strong outing while earning a quality start and the win. The Big Maple pitched six innings, giving up just the two runs on three hits, while striking out four and walking one.

Ryan Brasier followed him with a perfect seventh inning while Daniel Hudson worked the eighth with a perfect frame as well. Evan Phillips came in for the save and closed the game out, also allowing no one to reach base to earn his fourth save of the season.
