After a disappointing loss on Thursday night in the series opener, the Los Angeles Dodgers looked to bounce back against the Milwaukee Brewers.
The Dodgers were able to do that with a win, which also snapped a club record five-game losing streak to the Brew Crew at Dodger Stadium.
The Dodgers took two of three with Milwaukee at American Family Field from May 22-24, and it was the club’s first series win over the Brew Crew since July 2024. The Dodgers are now 51-38 against the Brewers all-time at Dodger Stadium.
Since the All-Star Break, the Dodgers have gone 13-13 (.500).

Dodgers offense slugs two home runs
The Dodgers’ offense was once again not at its best, but they slugged two home runs en route to the victory.
They scored the first run of the game with three consecutive one-out singles from Andy Pages, Teoscar Hernández and Mookie Betts. However, they were unable to make it a bigger inning, as has so often been the case for their offense.
They again took the lead in the fifth inning when Andy Pages slugged his 20th homer of the year, a solo shot that broke a 1-1 tie.
Tommy Edman also left the yard with a solo bomb in the sixth inning that gave the Dodgers a bit of breathing room.
Their offense tallied eight hits in total, but they went 1-for-5 with runners in scoring position and left five on base.
Yoshinobu Yamamoto excellent again
Yoshinobu Yamamoto was fantastic once again as he led the Dodgers to a win. The right-hander pitched six innings of one-run ball while allowing four hits, two walks and striking out nine.
It was Yamamoto’s 16th consecutive start of recording at least one out in the sixth inning, and the 19th time this year he’s completed at least six innings out of his 22 starts.
The Brewers’ only run came in the fifth inning when Luis Lara hit a leadoff double, advanced to third on a single, and then scored on a sacrifice fly.
Yamamoto lowered his season ERA to 2.60 in 145.1 innings with his outing.
Dodgers bullpen bounces back, kind of
The Dodgers got rebound performances in their bullpen from Evan Phillips, and somewhat from Edwin Díaz, even though it wasn’t pretty.
Phillips worked a perfect seventh inning after allowing three runs his last time out.
Díaz was also back on the mound, one day after blowing his third save in four chances. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts firmly kept the right-hander in the closer role despite his 11.57 ERA this season.
Diaz hit a batter and walked one to put the tying runs on base, but a great play from Edman saved a run and recorded the second out. He ended up walking another batter to load the bases.
Luckily, Díaz got a ground ball to shortstop to close out the game.
