Less than 12 hours after the final out was recorded in Tuesday’s 16-inning marathon, the Los Angeles Dodgers and Philadelphia Phillies are back at Citizens Bank Park for the rubber match of their three-game set.

The Dodgers are looking to win a second consecutive series out of the All-Star break and improve to 14-6 during the month of July. They do so with Walker Buehler making his first start since July 13.

He was optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City following that game but never pitched for the affiliate. Though, Buehler did complete a simulated game while in the Minors.

He takes the mound 4-2 with a 3.45 ERA, 3.02 FIP and 1.08 WHIP in 11 games (10 starts) this season. Buehler’s only time facing the Phillies was one inning in relief last season, in which he earned his first career win.

Philadelphia counters with Jake Arrieta, who is looking to reprise his dominance from May 29, when he tossed seven shutout innings at Dodger Stadium. Arrieta did allow six hits and issued two walks, but used five strikeouts to wiggle out of multiple jams.

The veteran right-hander didn’t fare well in his first start after the All-Star break, managing just 3.1 innings as he was knocked around by the San Diego Padres for five runs (four earned) on six hits.

Arrieta is 7-6 with a 3.47 ERA, 4.09 FIP and 1.27 WHIP in 19 starts this season.
