The Los Angeles Dodgers conclude their homestand with an opportunity to sweep the Philadelphia Phillies but take the field without Justin Turner in the lineup for a fourth consecutive game. Right hamstring tightness has limited Turner to being available to pinch-hit.

There was a possibility he returned for Sunday’s series finale, but the expectation now is that Turner will be back in the lineup when the Dodgers face the Arizona Diamondbacks.

With Max Muncy again at third base, he and the Dodgers will look to provide run support for Rich Hill. The veteran left-hander enters 1-1 with a 2.73 ERA, 4.39 FIP and 1.09 WHIP in six starts.

Hill has completed at least six innings in four of six outings this season, including each of his past three that’s seen him pitch to a 1.50 ERA. Hill is coming off a season-high 104 pitches, which could lead to Dodgers manager Dave Roberts having a short leash.

The Phillies counter with Nick Pivetta, who returned to the starting rotation in his last start. Pivetta is 3-1 in five starts this season but has a 7.71 ERA and 1.88 WHIP. Any length Pivetta is able to provide would aid a Phillies staff that used six pitchers in Saturday’s walk-off loss.

The young right-hander last faced the Dodgers in 2017. The lineup Pivetta sees Sunday includes some familiar names, one of which is Cody Bellinger who is on a nine-game hitting streak. Bellinger has additionally reached base in 54 of his 57 games this season.
