For a fourth time since July 22, the Los Angeles Dodgers are in need of a win in order to avoid losing their first series since the Washington Nationals took two of three games at Dodger Stadium from June 5-7.

Over the last six weeks the Dodgers are 15-0-3 in series played. Kenta Maeda will look to do his part to keep the streak alive as he faces the Padres a fourth time this season. Maeda is 0-2 with a 5.93 ERA thus far against San Diego.

He allowed five runs on eight hits in just 3.2 innings during a July 2 start at Petco Park. Since that time, however, he’s 4-0 with a 1.33 ERA in five outings.

Maeda has allowed one earned run or fewer in 47.2 innings pitched over nine of his last 10 games (eight starts).

Overall this season, he’s 10-4 with one save, a 3.69 ERA, 3.81 FIP and 1.14 WHIP in 20 games (18 starts). Included in that is a 6-1 mark and 2.98 ERA in 10 games, eight of which have been starts, at Dodger Stadium.

The Padres counter with Luis Perdomo, who makes his first start against the Dodgers this season. Perdomo faced Los Angeles six times last season as a rookie, including three as a starter. He went 1-3 and yielded an 8.63 ERA.

The right-hander has found success in keeping the ball out of the air, sporting a 62 percent ground ball rate. Perdomo enters 6-6 with a 4.81 ERA and 1.56 WHIP in 20 starts. He faces a Dodgers lineup that features five left-handed batters.

Cody Bellinger is 6-for-8 with one home run, three RBI, one walk and one strikeout through the first two games of the series. Wil Myers, who hit his 24th home run on Saturday, is batting .304/.333/.608 with one double, two home runs and four RBI at Dodger Stadium this season.
