The Los Angeles Dodgers take the field against the Baltimore Orioles having won their last five games overall, seven of their last eight and their last 10 games at home. They’re currently a season-high 11 games over .500 at 48-37.

After requiring 5.2 innings out of the bullpen in Monday’s series opening 7-5 victory over the Orioles, the Dodgers look to get some quality start out of Kenta Maeda on Tuesday night.

In 16 starts this season, Maeda is 7-5 with a 2.82 ERA, 3.44 FIP and 1.09 WHIP to go along with 89 strikeouts and 28 walks. He’s coming off a successful month of June in which he went 3-2 with a 2.52 ERA in six starts.

The right-hander is 2-4 with 3.00 ERA at Dodger Stadium this season. Maeda has averaged six innings per start at home this season, a tick over his road average. The Orioles counter with 10-game winner Chris Tillman.

The right-hander is 10-2 with a 3.71 ERA, 4.35 FIP and 1.25 WHIP on the season. He has struck out 91 and walked 36 in 99.1 innings. Tillman has struggled a bit in his last three starts, giving up 21 hits and 14 runs in 14.2 innings.

Dodgers rookie shortstop Corey Seager, who was named to the National League All-Star team, is in the midst of a 17-game hitting streak, batting .414/.461/.671 with eight doubles and two home runs during that span.

He leads the Dodgers in almost every hitting category, including runs scored (57), hits (100), doubles (20), triples (three), home runs (17), RBIs (41), total bases (177), batting average (.305), on-base percentage (.363), slugging percentage (.540), and OPS (.903).

The Orioles lead all of baseball with 128 home runs on the season led by the AL home-run leader Mark Trumbo (24), Chris Davis (21), Manny Machado (18) and Adam Jones (16). Maeda will have the tough task of facing them, as they are all in the lineup Tuesday.
