Pete Crow-Armstrong has emerged as one of the most valuable players in all of baseball for his contributions at the plate and on the field with the Chicago Cubs.
The two-time All-Star is having the best offensive season of his career while also playing elite defense in center field.
Crow-Armstrong, who grew up in Sherman Oaks, Calif., and frequently attended games at Dodger Stadium as a child, called the ballpark one of his favorite places to play defense.
“Honestly, I love playing center at Dodger Stadium,” Crow-Armstrong said during the 2026 MLB All-Star Game on Fox. “It’s a pretty simple layout. I got a little tripped up in center field there this year, but I’ve had some fun moments in that outfield.
“So I’d say there, Anaheim is great, St. Louis is great. Those three ballparks all take really good care of the grass and the playing surface.”
Crow-Armstrong has made some incredible catches at Dodger Stadium in his career, including earlier this year when he leaped at the left-center field wall to rob Teoscar Hernández of a potential extra-base hit.
However, the 24-year-old also misplayed a ball and went just 2-for-10 with five strikeouts during the Cubs’ three-game series with the Dodgers from April 24-26.
Despite being a Southern California native, Crow-Armstrong received loud boos for earlier comments he made about Dodgers fans. Crow-Armstrong implied Dodgers fans only care about the team when they are winning and later doubled down on those remarks.
Crow-Armstrong may have made himself a villain to Dodgers fans, but he continues to love coming home to play in Southern California.

Shohei Ohtani has won two consecutive National League MVP Awards since signing his record-breaking contract with the Dodgers prior to the 2024 season.
With the two-way star still weeks away from potentially returning to the mound, some believe his absence could open the door for other players to enter this year’s MVP conversation.
Crow-Armstrong recently said that he hopes to take down Ohtani as the reigning MVP, but noted it will be a difficult task.
Crow-Armstrong doesn’t provide the pitching value as Ohtani, but may be the game’s best defensive player at one of the most important positions.
