After playing a pair of one-run games at Miller Park, the Milwaukee Brewers and Los Angeles Dodgers now meet at Dodger Stadium for Game 3 of the National League Championship Series. Monday is the first of three NLCS games in as many days.
Just as Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said would be the case, Yasmani Grandal is again behind the plate. While that was forthcoming, there was a change in the lineup as Max Muncy and Justin Turner were flip flopped.
“A couple of right-handers behind him feels that you don’t give up a whole lot, change a whole lot, but you kind of can count on a potential move by them,” Roberts explained of batting Muncy second.
As for Grandal catching, Roberts said the Dodgers are pleased with the battery he forms with Walker Buehler. The rookie right-hander is looking to put forth a strong performance in his first postseason start at Dodger Stadium.
Buehler fared well against the Atlanta Braves in Game 3 of the NL Division Series, save for a rocky second inning in which he issued a bases-loaded walk and allowed a grand slam.
The Brewers counter with Jhoulys Chacin, who surprisingly did not start Game 1 and takes the mound for the first time since Oct. 5. He allowed just three hits over five shutout innings against the Colorado Rockies.
