The ninth annual Justin Turner Foundation Golf Classic is scheduled for Monday morning at picturesque Sherwood Country Club in Thousands Oaks, Calif.
The fundraising event is hosted by Justin Turner, president of his foundation, and his wife and vice president Kourtney Turner.
“I am really looking forward to another great golf event for the foundation,” Justin Turner said in a statement. “It means so much to be able to put on this event for a ninth straight year. We have seen firsthand how much of an impact we are able to make from the funds and awareness raised through this tournament.
“It means so much to know how many people come out and support and believe in the work we are doing in the Los Angeles community.”
The Turners have continued to hold their annual golf tournament at Sherwood Country Club even as Justin Turner’s playing career took him to the Boston Red Sox, Toronto Blue Jays, Seattle Mariners and Chicago Cubs.
All proceeds from the official Kickoff Party and Justin Turner Golf Classic go toward the Justin Turner Foundation.
“We are so excited to be hosting our ninth Golf Classic,” Kourtney Turner said. “We could not have even imagined when planning our very first tournament where we would be today. Every year the event just keeps getting bigger and better. It’s so great to see familiar faces out on the course and to meet our new participants as well.
“It just means to world to have everyone donating their time and showing up for us with the common goal of supporting the causes so near and dear to our hearts.”
Along with a planned day of golf, the event is going to include a Hole-In-One contest for $50,000, Closest to the Pin contest for a Purple sleep suite, a second Closest to the Pin competition for an e-bike from The Beard Club, a long drive contest for Monument Grills as well as prizes for the winning teams.
Golfers are going to receive a VIP gift bag that includes an adidas backpack and golf cleats, Kaenon sunglasses, JTF Baseballism hat, Mizzen + Main golf polo, Oofos recovery footwear, Bruce Bolt golf glove, Dad Gang hat, Yeti cup, JTF golf towel, Stitch Golf JTF golf shoe bag, as well as products from The Beard Club, goodwipes, The New Primal, LOVE CORN, Create, Caldera + Lab, Momentous, AG1, Barry’s, Barefoot Dreams and SLAM.

Among the participants expected to be on hand for the golf tournament are Cody Bellinger, Travis d’Arnaud, Jarren Duran, Carson Kelly, Joe Kelly, Ryan Pepiot, Trayce Thompson, Ike Davis, Andre Ethier, Nomar Garciaparra, Jay Gibbons, Scott Kazmir, James Loney, Mike Moustakas, Chase Utley and others.
