Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman, Tony Gonsolin and Gavin Lux are among the Los Angeles Dodgers scheduled to attended the CT3 Foundation’s charity event at Topgolf El Segundo on Thursday. The night is being organized by Chris Taylor and his wife Mary for their first event in the Los Angeles area.

The CT3 Foundation previously hosted “Driving For Hope” in Virginia Beach, both last year and earlier this month. Taylor recently said he was looking forward to bringing his foundation’s work to Los Angeles.

James Loney, Albert Pujols, Fernando Valenzuela and Jason Heyward also are expected to be in attendance. So too are Atlanta Braves starter Max Fried, Chicago White Sox pitcher Lucas Giolito and former New York Mets third baseman David Wright.

George Lopez is hosting and platinum-charting artist Brett Young is performing. Individual tickets, bays for six players and two guests, and sponsorship opportunities remain available for purchase.

Fans can additionally purchase a spectator ticket, which grants access to all non-tournament event activities, including the red carpet, silent auction, Young’s live performance, and opportunity to compete with Taylor for distance hitting a golf ball.

Proceeds will benefit Children’s Hospital Los Angeles’ “Children’s Fund,” which supports the hospital’s innovative research programs, helps provide top notch training for its pediatric specialists and sustains family-centered care that is not covered by insurance.

Proceeds additionally will benefit the CT3 Foundation and its mission to provide support and fund research for children with cancer and other life-altering conditions, and to uplift the vulnerable.

Chris Taylor quickly started offseason hitting

Coming off a disappointing finish to the season, Taylor didn’t waste much time before beginning workouts with Dodgers hitting coaches. Some of that was tied to facing a busy period ahead due to getting married in Hawaii last month, but Taylor also wanted to begin working on rebounding from a disappointing year.

He suffered a foot fracture, dealt with a recurring neck injury and inconsistency at the plate.
