Mookie Betts continued his reign as the top-selling MLB jersey for the 2021 regular season, and he was joined on the list by Los Angeles Dodgers teammates Clayton Kershaw (No. 5), Cody Bellinger (No. 6) and Corey Seager (No. 8).

The Dodgers were the only team to place the four players in the top 10 of most popular jerseys. Rankings were based on sales of Nike jerseys on MLBShop.com.

Betts finished the 2020 season — his first playing for the Dodgers — with the best-selling jersey, and was also atop the list for the period of last year’s postseason to Opening Day of the 2021 campaign.

Following Betts, Bellinger was second in jersey sales heading into the 2021 season, and Kershaw (fifth) and Seager (13th) also appeared.

Bellinger ranked sixth at the end of the last year’s regular season, Kershaw finished with ninth-most popular jersey and Seager did not appear in the top 20.

Bellinger and Kershaw have both placed among the most popular jerseys since the 2017 season. Along with Bellinger finishing sixth at the end of the 2020 and 2021 seasons, he previously placed third (2019), 15th (2018) and 16th (2017).

As for Kershaw, he ranked No. 12 in 2019, which marked the first time in several seasons he fell out of the top 10. He previously placed No. 4 in both 2017 and 2018.

While the Dodgers’ quartet that was recognized this year are popular amongst fans under normal circumstances, they may have enjoyed a boost by winning the World Series last year. As defending champions, the Dodgers took part in MLB’s Gold Series and wore and released specially-designed jerseys, caps and other merchandise.

Overall for 2021, the top four most popular player jerseys in MLB are worn by players from four different countries and territories. After Betts (USA), fellow All-Stars Fernando Tatis Jr. (Dominican Republic), Ronald Acuña Jr. (Venezuela) and Javier Báez (Puerto Rico) round out the top four.
