MLB World Tour 2025: Complete Los Angeles Dodgers Travel Roster For Japan

The Los Angeles Dodgers travel roster for Japan features 16 pitchers, one two-way player in Shohei Ohtani, and 14 additional position players.

Given recent comments by Dodgers manager Dave Roberts and multiple waves of Spring Training roster cuts, the group of 31 players who traveled to Tokyo was largely devoid any surprises.

Among those possibilities was Matt Sauer, who received news last weekend that he would be joining the Dodgers in Japan. Ben Casparius was also identified as a likely reliever to be included as well because of mounting injuries in the Dodgers bullpen.

Jack Dreyer and Luis García were seemingly the final missing pieces, as the 29 other players with the Dodgers had either posted on social media or were included in photos and videos shared by the team.

There are three exempt roster spots both the Dodgers and Chicago Cubs can utilize due to playing just a two-game series. Thus, those applied to the starters who won’t pitch in the Tokyo Series.

Not included on the travel roster but due to be with the Dodgers in Tokyo is Clayton Kershaw. The future Hall of Famer is going to begin the season on the injured list while recovering from left knee and foot surgeries, but expressed an interest in still getting to soak in the start of the 2025 MLB World Tour.

Dodgers travel roster

Two-way (1): Shohei Ohtani

Pitchers (16): Anthony Banda, Ben Casparius, Jack Dreyer, Nick Frasso, Luis García, Tyler Glasnow, Landon Knack, Roki Sasaki, Matt Sauer, Tanner Scott, Blake Snell, Blake Treinen, Alex Vesia, Justin Wrobleski, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Kirby Yates

Catchers (3): Austin Barnes, Hunter Feduccia, Will Smith

Infielders (3): Freddie Freeman, Max Muncy, Miguel Rojas

Outfielders (4): Michael Conforto, Teoscar Hernández, James Outman, Andy Pages

Infielders/Outfielders (4): Mookie Betts, Tommy Edman, Kiké Hernández, Chris Taylor

Who is eligible from travel roster?

All 31 players the Dodgers included on their roster for Japan are eligible to play in their exhibition games at the Tokyo Dome this weekend.

However, they will need to pare it down to 26 active players on the Dodgers’ Opening Day roster for the start of the Tokyo Series on March 18.
