MLB Top-10 Right Fielders Right Now 2026: Kyle Tucker Drops In Rankings

Kyle Tucker remains one of the best players in MLB, but he dropped in MLB Network’s rankings of the top-10 right fielders right now entering 2026.

The Shredder ranked Tucker No. 3 as he enters his first season with the Los Angeles Dodgers, which is the lowest ranking he’s received since 2023. Entering 2024 and 2025, The Shredder ranked Tucker as the second-best right fielder in baseball.

He was ranked fourth in 2023 and made his debut on the list in 2022 from the sixth spot.

Tucker dropping down the list is due more to the play of New York Yankees’ captain Aaron Judge and New York Mets’ superstar Juan Soto than anything he did himself.

The two New York outfielders were ranked in the top two spots, with Soto moving up one spot over Tucker from last year.

Tucker had a strong season overall in his only year with the Chicago Cubs, batting .266/.377/.464 with 22 home runs, 91 runs scored, 73 RBI, 25 stolen bases and a 136 wRC+, along with 4.5 WAR.

The Shredder also includes the previous three seasons of production in its rankings, and over that time, Tucker has hit .278/.380/.511 with 74 home runs, 244 runs, 234 RBI and a 147 wRC+. He’s also tallied 66 stolen bases while producing 13.6 WAR.

Tucker’s defense is not helping his case, as his -2 outs above average (OAA) was ranked in the 25th percentile of players. However, the Dodgers feel they can get better defense from him, with manager Dave Roberts even saying Tucker has Gold Glove ability.

But even with his lack of stellar defense, Tucker is one of just four position players to post at least 4.5 WAR in each of the last five years.

The Dodgers signed Tucker to a four-year, $240 million contract during the offseason, showing their faith in his all-around ability. They feel there’s more ability in Tucker’s game, but they’d also be happy if he continues to produce at the same levels that he has.

In addition to The Shredder’s ranking, MLB Network analysts also ranked Tucker on their lists. Host Brian Kenny placed Tucker third, while he was fourth on Chris Young’s list.

Entering 2025, the Dodgers had Teoscar Hernández place No. 10 on The Shredder’s rankings, but he was left of the list of the top-10 left fielders right now entering 2026.
