MLB’s streaming service, MLB.TV, launched this week for the 2023 season with a brand new feature, giving subscribers access to Minor League Baseball games.
MLB.TV subscribers can watch more than 7,000 games for affiliates of all 30 MLB organizations, including all 60 Triple-A and Double-A teams, as well as home games from more than 40 additional clubs and select postseason games through the First Pitch app.
What’s more, a new Watch hub within the MLB mobile apps will be debuting that includes both live programming and video on demand of all 30 teams.
Also coming to select connected devices is the big-screen Gameday mode, which will feature advanced data and pitch-by-pitch details to immerse fans in the game.
The MLB.TV content library will be packed with new episodes of original shows like “Baseball Zen” and “Carded,” in addition to new shows such as “Inside Stitch,” baseball documentaries and more.
With MLB.TV, fans can watch every out-of-market regular-season and select Spring Training games, live online or on their favorite supported devices. Yearly and single-team packages include local pregame and postgame coverage for select teams and archives of the 2021-22 seasons.
Furthermore, subscribers who are authenticated through their TV service providers will be able to watch the All-Star Game and every game of the 2023 World Series.
When streaming games, subscribers can choose between home and away feeds, and watch games with live DVR and in-game playback controls such as clickable box scores and live scoreboards.
A yearly MLB.TV subscription for the 2023 season is available for a one-time payment of $149.99 or $24.99 per month. Single-team packages are available for $129.99.
MLB Audio rebranded to At Bat
The MLB Audio app additionally has been renamed to At Bat as the subscription has a lot more to offer than just audio for the 2023 season.
MLB At Bat subscribers will still be able to listen to blackout-free radio broadcasts of every regular-season game, with their choice of home or away feeds and alternative Spanish audio.
However, At Bat subscribers will now be able to watch live video of Minor League games in the First Pitch app and other MLB apps. Those with a subscription will also receive access to exclusive content like “MLB Big Inning” and a library of video on demand originals and documentaries.
An At Bat subscription for the 2023 season costs $29.99 for the year or $3.99 per month.
