A Major League Baseball charity auction is currently underway, and among the items/experiences being auctioned off is a meet and greet with Los Angeles Dodgers broadcaster Vin Scully.
The auction, which ends Thursday at 6 p.m. PT, is benefitting Stand Up for Cancer.
According to the description, the winning bidder will receive four Field Level tickets to a 2016 Dodgers home game and a photograph of your group along with Scully.
Other items being auctioned that involve the Dodgers are an opportunity to serve as the bat boy/girl for a game at the club’s Camelback Ranch Spring Training complex. The package also includes four tickets to the mutually agreed upon game.
Fans can also enjoy the opportunity to shadow the Dodgers’ social media coordinator Matt Mesa as he goes through his day and get up close and personal with their favorite players while assisting in posting social content during prior to, during and after a set game.
The Dodgers recently hosted an online auction of their own, making several game-worn and autograph jerseys available in support of the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation.
As of 12 p.m. PT Thursday, the bidding for the meet and greet with Scully was up to $6,625. The 88-year-old Scully announced the 2016 season will likely be the last as voice of the Dodgers. He’s spent 66 seasons with the team, dating back to their days in Brooklyn.
