Max Muncy and wife Kellie are hosting a charity wine effort to benefit the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation (LADF) and YMCA of the Foothills wildfire relief and recovery efforts.

The “Uncork for a Cause” event is being held at the InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown on June 12. Expected to join the Muncys are several Dodgers players, friends, special guests and community supporters to help raise critical funds for Angelenos.

Guests will enjoy tastings from a curated lineup of top-tier Napa and Sonoma wineries, including Amici Cellars, Blackbird Vineyards, B True Wines, CAST Wines, Caterwaul, Christopher Creek, Dakota Shy, Kenzo, Perchance Estates, Ridge, Rio Crest, Vokel Cellars, and more.

The InterContinental’s culinary team will provide a gourmet offering of passed and stationed hors d’oeuvres, complemented by a wine and beer bar.

The evening will also feature live and silent auctions offering game-used Dodgers memorabilia, VIP stadium experiences, wine lots from elite producers, signed artwork and collectibles, exclusive wine country travel packages, and much more.

As a token of appreciation, each guest will receive a complimentary bottle of Muncy’s limited-edition Sonoma Reserve Cuvée, crafted from a single barrel exclusively for the event. The two-time World Series champion will also be signing bottles during the evening, with all inscription donations going directly to the cause.

For guests interested in attending, tickets can be purchased here. Those unable to be there can still make a donation online.

Max Muncy reads with LADF

Earlier this month, Muncy joined president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman at an L.A. Reads event organized by the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation.

Muncy read to more than 70 second-grade students at Gabriella Charter School, which is located just minutes away from Dodger Stadium.

“For me, something that I didn’t realize until I got older is how much education can help you out in terms of things like sports, athletics, and just giving you opportunities,” Muncy said. “Just focusing on education can open up so many doors for you in every avenue of life and understanding that now I want to make sure I pass that on to as many kids as I can.”

Friedman and his wife joined the LADF to award a $14,000 grant to Gabriella Charter Schools to support the transformation of their existing gardens at their two campuses into Dodgers Foundation Community Reading Gardens.
