The 2026 National Baseball Hall of Fame ballot features 12 new candidates and 15 holdovers, including several former Los Angeles Dodgers players.
Matt Kemp and Howie Kendrick are among the newcomers. They are joined by Ryan Braun, Shin-Soo Choo, Edwin Encarnación, Gio González, Alex Gordon, Cole Hamels, Nick Markakis, Daniel Murphy, Hunter Pence and Rick Porcello.
Bobby Abreu, Andruw Jones, Manny Ramírez, Jimmy Rollins and Chase Utley are among the returnees from the 2025 ballot that saw CC Sabathia, Ichiro Suzuki and Billy Wagner receive enough votes for election to the Hall of Fame.
This marks the final time that Ramírez will be on the ballot. He received 34.3% of the vote last year.
For candidates to meet criteria for induction, they must be named on 75% of ballots cast by selected Baseball Writers’ Association of America members with 10 or more consecutive years of MLB coverage to gain election and be part of Induction Weekend July 24-27, 2026, in Cooperstown, N.Y.
Players may remain on the Hall of Fame ballot for up to 10 years, provided they receive at least 5% of the vote.
Voters must return ballots by a Dec. 31 postmark. Votes are counted jointly by BBWAA secretary-treasurer Jack O’Connell and Ernst & Young partner Mark Moran.
Results will be announced by Hall of Fame president Josh Rawitch at 3 p.m. PT Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2026, live on MLB Network.
