The Los Angeles Dodgers faced the Miami Marlins in a four-game series over the weekend at Dodger Stadium, which meant a reunion with Lorenzo Bundy, A.J. Ellis, Dee Gordon, Don Mattingly and Tim Wallach.

Tempers flared Friday night and it led to both benches clearing, but the remaining two games of the series went on without any incident.

While the aforementioned group of five has previous ties to the Dodgers organization, Giancarlo Stanton does not. However, playing at Dodger Stadium marks an annual homecoming of sorts for teh All-Star, who attended Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks, Calif.

“This was the place that made me love baseball,” said Stanton of Chavez Ravine. “I grew up here. I like to perform here.”

Stanton went 5-for-17 with four doubles and three RBIs over the four games. However, he was hitless in two of the contests, including Sunday’s series finale.

Over 23 career games at Dodger Stadium, the 27-year-old is a lifetime .310/.362/.713 batter, with eight doubles, nine home runs and 25 RBIs. Stanton has only hit more home runs at six other ballparks, one of which is Marlins Park, and another Miami’s previous home stadium.

One of Stanton’s homers at Dodger Stadium sailed over the left field pavilion and was measured by Statcast at 475.8 feet, good for the third-longest homer ever hit at Chavez Ravine.
