The Los Angeles Dodgers have been the toast of the town since defeating the New York Yankees to win the World Series, and that continued on Saturday with pitching coach Mark Prior and Landon Knack in attendance at the Coliseum to watch the USC Trojans face the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
Prior and Knack were recognized on the field during a break in the action. It was a second consecutive day for Prior, a USC alumnus, attending a Trojans game as he was on hand for a women’s volleyball match Friday night.
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts previously was celebrated by UCLA when the Bruins hosted the Trojans at the Rose Bowl for the annual crosstown rivalry game.

Coincidentally, Justin Turner attended the game between the Irish and Trojans as well. Turner did not attend USC but is a lifelong fan and once dressed up as a Trojans football player opposite AJ Pollock, who wore the uniform of his alma mater Notre Dame.
Prior starred on the USC baseball team before being selected by the Chicago Cubs with the second overall pick in the 2001 MLB Draft. Prior was inducted into the USC Athletics Hall of Fame in 2015.
For Knack, it was his second time at a recent sporting event as he was welcomed by the Rams for their Sunday Night Football game last week. Knack was accompanied by Anthony Banda and Joe Kelly, and they had the 2024 Dodgers World Series trophy in tow as well.
Dodgers officially sign Blake Snell
Also on Saturday, the Dodgers announced the signing of Blake Snell to a five-year, $182 million contract. The Seattle native was in Eugene to watch the Washington Huskies face the Oregon Ducks.
