Having swept the short series at Dodger Stadium to extend their winning streak to seven games, the Los Angeles Dodgers now face the Seattle Mariners at T-Mobile Park to complete the home and home matchup.

Keibert Ruiz makes a second career start as he remains with the team while Will Smith is on the 10-day injured list due to neck inflammation. Ruiz hit a home run in the first at-bat of his MLB debut and is looking to take advantage of however long he’s with the team.

Ruiz catches Julio Urias, who makes his fifth start of the year. Urias takes the mound on an extra day of rest and having gone a season-high 6.1 innings his last time out. Overall this season he’s 2-0 with a 2.53 ERA.

Urias has never faced the Mariners in his career and has a 3.95 ERA in seven Interleague games (two starts).

He’s opposed by Taijuan Walker, formerly of the Arizona Diamondbacks. He is pitching on two days of extra rest and is coming off six shutout innings against the Texas Rangers. Walker is a lifetime 2-1 with a 4.88 ERA in six career starts against the Dodgers.

Keeping with what’s held true since Corey Seager returned from lower back trouble, Mookie Betts is again leading off in the Dodgers lineup. L.A. is 10-1 in such games, and Betts is batting .320 with seven home runs and 15 RBI since returning Aug. 7 from a sore middle finger on his left hand.

Justin Turner is also swinging a hot bat as he enters play with a 12-game hitting streak; Turner is batting .349 with two home runs and nine RBI during the stretch. His career-best hitting streak is 16 games, set in April 2017.

Wednesday and Thursday offer another opportunity for brothers Corey Seager and Kyle Seager to play their game within the game. The brothers share a healthy competitiveness with one another and took turns in the spotlight over the past two games.

Josh Sborz, Rocky Gale and Zach McKinstry are with the Dodgers on the taxi squad. The bullpen added a fresh arm as Tony Gonsolin was optioned and Victor Gonzalez was recalled.
