One of baseball’s best teams will start a four-game home-and-home series against one of the worst on Monday when the Los Angeles Dodgers (16-7) host the Seattle Mariners (7-16) as heavy favorites on the MLB odds at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.

The Dodgers opened as -260 chalk (bet $260 to win $100) for the series opener, and the line has only gone up with Ross Stripling (3-1, 3.97 ERA) set to take the mound opposite Justin Dunn (1-1, 4.85 ERA) and the Mariners.

Stripling is coming off his first loss of the season last Tuesday versus the San Diego Padres, surrendering six runs and six hits in 4.2 innings with two walks and four strikeouts. He had won each of his previous three starts despite allowing a home run in all three. The 30-year-old righty served up two home runs to the Padres last time out in his shortest start of the year.

Meanwhile, Dunn earned his first victory in his most recent start, allowing two runs and seven hits to the Texas Rangers in six innings one week ago. The 24-year-old had made both of his previous two starts against the Los Angeles Angels and did not last longer than four innings in either.

Fortunately for Los Angeles, the team has won five straight over American League opponents, according to the OddsShark MLB Database, along with seven of eight. The OVER has also cashed in the last three for the Dodgers at online betting sites against AL foes.

Seattle has done fairly well recently in interleague games too, winning four of six and six of nine. The Mariners did drop two of three to the Colorado Rockies at home a little over a week ago by a combined score of 16-9.

Before switching venues, Marco Gonzales (2-2, 3.97 ERA) will get the call for Seattle on Tuesday against Tony Gonsolin (0-0, 0.00 ERA), who has given up just four hits in 8.2 scoreless innings over his first two starts. The teams will play two more games at T-Mobile Park beginning Wednesday.
